Faceta Amber Glass Vase with Geometric Faceted Form

A Vase Shaped Like a Gemstone

The Faceta Amber Glass Vase takes its design cue from cut gemstones rather than traditional vessel shapes. Its faceted, multi-sided glass form catches light across each angled surface, creating shifting pools of warm amber colour and subtle internal reflections that change depending on where the piece is viewed from and how light falls across it. Rather than being purely functional, the vase behaves almost like a small sculpture, with its geometry doing as much visual work as its function as a vessel.

Cast in a rich amber tone, the glass carries a warm, honeyed depth of colour that intensifies where the material is thickest, particularly toward the base of each facet. This creates a natural gradient effect across the piece, adding further visual interest beyond the geometric cut alone.

Why a Faceted Form Changes the Way Light Behaves

Traditional vase shapes — cylinders, bulbs, tapered urns — tend to interact with light in a fairly uniform, predictable way. A faceted form like the Faceta vase behaves very differently. Each flat plane refracts and reflects light at a slightly different angle, so the piece appears to shift and shimmer as the viewer moves around it, or as natural light changes throughout the day. Placed near a window or under directional lighting, the vase can cast warm amber-toned reflections onto the surface beneath it, extending its visual impact beyond the object itself.

This quality makes the Faceta vase particularly effective as a lit or backlit accent piece, though it holds its own equally well in flatter, ambient lighting, where the amber tone alone provides enough warmth and depth to stand out.

Why Choose the Faceta Vase

The Faceta vase’s compact scale and bold geometric form make it a flexible styling object. It works well as part of a grouped vignette alongside other textured or sculptural objects, where its warm colour and angular shape provide contrast against softer or more neutral pieces. It also holds its own as a solitary accent on a shelf, windowsill, or side table, where its faceted surfaces can be fully appreciated without competing elements nearby.

Its narrow neck opening suits a single sculptural stem — a bare branch, a dried seed pod, or a minimal floral pick — rather than a dense, full arrangement, keeping the focus on the vase’s form and colour rather than a busy display above it.

Care Instructions

1. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, paying attention to the recessed angles between facets where dust can settle.
2. Clean with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge; a bottle brush can help reach the interior through the narrow neck.
3. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to avoid water spots, which show more visibly on coloured glass.
4. For mineral deposits or residue, soak the affected area in a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water, then rinse thoroughly.
5. Avoid abrasive scrubbers or scouring pads, which can dull or scratch the glass surface.
6. Handle with both hands when moving, supporting from the base rather than lifting by a single facet or edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this vase hold water for fresh stems?
Yes, the glass body can hold water for a single stem or minimal arrangement, given the narrow neck opening.

Will the amber color fade over time?
Cast glass colour is generally stable, though prolonged direct sunlight exposure is best avoided for any coloured glass piece.

Is the vase heavy enough to stay stable on its own?
Yes, the solid glass construction and faceted base provide a stable footing for the piece.

Does the color vary between individual pieces?
Some natural variation in tone and clarity is common with cast glass — confirm with your production team whether this applies and update this answer accordingly.
