Coda Ribbed Glass Tiered Vase in Three Colorways

A Vase Built From Two Simple Forms

The Coda Ribbed Glass Vase takes a straightforward idea  two cylinders of different diameters stacked on top of one another and elevates it through texture and proportion. A narrower cylinder sits atop a wider one, creating a stepped, tiered silhouette that reads as architectural and considered rather than purely decorative. Fine vertical ribbing runs across the entire surface of both tiers, catching light along each groove and giving the piece a soft, textured quality that a smooth glass surface wouldn’t achieve.

The ribbing does more than add visual interest. As light moves across the piece throughout the day, the grooves create subtle shifts in shadow and highlight, so the vase’s appearance changes gently depending on the time of day and the angle it’s viewed from  a quiet, low-effort kind of visual interest that rewards a second glance.

Why Translucent Color Changes the Feel of a Ribbed Surface

Unlike a clear glass vase, the Coda’s soft, translucent colour tint interacts directly with the ribbing to create a more layered visual effect. Where the glass is thickest — typically at the base of each rib — the colour appears slightly deeper and more saturated, while the raised edges of each groove catch more light and appear paler. This creates a natural gradient effect across the surface that gives the piece more depth than a flat block of colour would.

Offered in three colorways, the Coda vase can be styled individually as a single accent piece, or grouped together in multiples for a more layered, collected look — particularly effective when mixing tiers of different colours across a shelf or console.

Why Choose the Coda Vase

The stacked, tiered construction gives the Coda vase a distinct advantage over single-cylinder vase designs: it can be styled two ways at once. The narrower top section works well for a smaller, more contained stem arrangement, while the wider base tier provides a stable, grounded visual anchor even when the vase is left empty. This makes it a flexible piece for both florals and standalone display.

Its soft, muted colour palette and gentle texture also make it easy to incorporate into a range of interior styles, from warm, romantic spaces to more minimal, pared-back rooms where a single considered accent piece is preferred over a bolder statement object.

Care Instructions

1. Clean with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge; a bottle brush can help reach the interior of the narrower top tier.
2. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to avoid water spots, particularly visible in the grooves of the ribbed texture.
3. For mineral deposits or residue, soak the affected area in a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water, then rinse thoroughly.
4. Avoid abrasive scrubbers or scouring pads, which can dull the ribbed texture or scratch the surface.
5. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, paying attention to the grooves where dust can settle.
6. Handle with both hands when moving, supporting from the base rather than lifting by the narrower top tier alone.
